DRIVEN LAUNCHES FREE AUTOMOTIVE STREAMING AND COMMUNITY PLATFORM AT SEMA 2026

Shaped by 15,000 beta users, the platform co-founded by Tanner Foust, Emelia Hartford, and Michael George joins traditional automotive media with exclusive original programming and a new approach to connecting creators and enthusiasts

Las Vegas, Nov. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- After a beta program with about 15,000 users, DRIVEN (www.getdriven.co), a free, ad-supported automotive streaming and community platform, officially launches today at the 2026 SEMA Show.

Co-founded by professional racing champion and television host Tanner Foust; actor, racer, and builder Emelia Hartford; and producer and CEO Michael George.  DRIVEN brings automotive entertainment, creators, and enthusiast communities together in one destination.

The platform combines exclusive original programming, content from established and emerging creators, and dedicated communities where enthusiasts can connect, discuss their interests, share projects, and exchange knowledge. Feedback from beta users has helped shape the platform's technology, features, and community experience, with members continuing to influence its development.

Built Differently. Because Watching Was Never Enough

For decades, traditional automotive media has followed a familiar formula: manufactured drama, contrived storylines, and predictable television tropes often took precedence over authentic personalities, craftsmanship, and passion that make car culture compelling.

And the experience was largely one-way. Networks produced content, audiences watched it, and the relationship ended when the screen went dark. Fans could follow their favorite builders, racers, and personalities for years without ever having a meaningful opportunity to connect with them.

DRIVEN Challenges the Traditional Streaming Model

Built around authentic storytelling and active community participation, DRIVEN brings entertainment, creators, and enthusiasts together in one place. It's a platform where the stories are real, the passion is shared, and the audience has an opportunity to become part of the experience.

Rather than treating entertainment and community as separate experiences, DRIVEN brings them together. Viewers can discover original programming, engage with participating creators, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and contribute their own knowledge and projects—all within the same platform.

The result is a different approach to automotive media, one that treats enthusiasts as participants rather than simply an audience.

"There's no shortage of content to watch," said Michael George, co-founder and CEO of DRIVEN. “We want to curate stories worth your time—and inspire you to get out and live your own. Great automotive entertainment should do more than give people something to watch. It should inspire them to get behind the wheel, build something, try something new, and connect with others who share their passion. We're building a platform where that experience doesn't have to end when the show is over.

Exclusive Originals Featuring Automotive's Biggest Names

DRIVEN launches with Art of Speed, an exclusive original series featuring renowned engine builder Tom Nelson and his extraordinary automotive creations.

Additional original productions are scheduled to premiere exclusively on DRIVEN during the first half of 2027 which include:

  • Pikes Peak — Featuring Tanner Foust, Jenson Button, and Ant Anstead
  • Go or Go Home — Featuring NHRA champion Antron Brown
  • Queen of the Mountain — Featuring Emelia Hartford

The slate will be complemented by other originals in development, including a growing selection of long-form series, short-form programming, and content from established and emerging automotive creators. Additional programming will be previewed during DRIVEN's SEMA press conference.

Bringing Creators, Brands, and Enthusiasts Together

DRIVEN is also challenging the traditional media business model through a collaborative approach to content distribution and audience engagement.

For emerging creators, breaking through in a sea of viral clips can be difficult. DRIVEN aims to give automotive creators room to develop the content they have always wanted to make and connect with an audience who sharetheir passion.

“As creators and builders, we’ve all experienced how passionate the automotive community is,” said co-founder Emelia Hartford. “With that comes an audience hungry for content that feels genuine and equally passionate. We wanted to create a place where people can come together to find that and share what they love.”

Rather than requiring partners to abandon their existing platforms or identities, DRIVEN works with automotive publishers, networks, creators, and brands through dedicated hubs and nonexclusive, revenue-sharing content partnerships.

These hubs give partners distinct spaces to share programming, engage with enthusiasts, and build relationships around their content. Partners also have access to audience and engagement insights to better understand how their programming performs.

For enthusiasts, DRIVEN transforms automotive content into an interactive experience.  The platform offers new ways to engage and discover a community of like-minded enthusiasts.  From discussing episodes and connecting with creators to showcasing their own builds, sharing their passion, and creating new ways to engage with the culture they love.

DRIVEN's ambassador network represents a combined social following in excess of 50 million, with plans to add 150 creators in 2027. The company will collaborate with ambassadors on original programming while supporting emerging talent through opportunities for distribution and exposure.

Free to Watch. Built With the Community.

DRIVEN is free to join, with advertising supporting access to its programming and communities. The platform is available on iOS, Android, web, Apple TV, Google TV, and Amazon Fire TV, with additional connected-TV platforms planned.

The company intends to keep both its entertainment and community experiences free, removing subscription barriers while continuing to expand its programming, partnerships, and platform capabilities.

As DRIVEN moves beyond beta, the company is inviting enthusiasts to take an active role in shaping what comes next.

“Build with us," said co-founder Tanner Foust. "Tell us what you want to watch, what's missing, and what would make this platform a more useful outlet for your automotive interests. We're just getting started, and the community will help shape what we build and make next."
