SLED Charges South Carolina State Representative with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm At a Person
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Michael Frank Rivers, 67, with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm At a Person on Friday, October 9, 2026. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Rivers was booked into the Colleton County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
