SLED Charges Lexington County Officer Involved Shooting Subject with Attempted Murder and Firearm Offenses
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Robert Glenn Hardee, 47, with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Convicted of Certain Crimes, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department requested the SLED investigation.

Hardee was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Hardee was the subject in the Friday, September 18, 2026, officer involved shooting in Lexington County. SLED’s officer involved shooting investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
